In order to manufacture joints with similar or different materials which have a specific strength and a high temperature resistance, the vacuum brazing process is the best solution. Materials which are used for this application are stainless steels, nickel, cobalt, titanium, vanadin, zirconia, silicium, niobium, tantalum, ceramic or glass.

This brazing process is used where other processes fail due to the complex part-geometry or cracks. The vacuum-brazing as modern and innovative manufacturing process has essential advantages and is more and more used in space- and aircraft-industry as well as turbine technology, atomic reactors and conventional industries. For an optimal brazing process, the following parameters are of  importance:
  • the basic material
  • the solder in dependence of the application
  • the geometry and the mass of the component
  • the quality of the material surface
The brazing temperatures are in many cases near to the melting- temperature of the component; therefore the temperature accuracy and furnace control are of essential importance.

Because all heat treatment processes are empirical, the best solutions can only be found with the help of qualified experts.
