Beefing up magnets for electric-drive cars

As there is an obvious trend towards electric driven vehicles, the corresponding technology has to be developed.
In order to increase efficiency and reduce cost for electric motors, which can be used for cars, new more powerful magnets are required. These magnets must not lose their specific properties at higher temperatures.
Therefore, new alloys of neodymium, yttrium and dysprosium have been developed.
