The overall U.S. economy, with the exception of housing and construction, finished 2010 better than 2009.
Growth rates have turned positive,the stock market is rising and the consumer's investments are improving. This is lifting retail sales including sales of light vehicles. The billings for MTI have made full recovery from the recession much more rapidly than most other industries. After 26.8% gains in 2010, shipments will be moderate to 8.1% growth in 2011.
